Bing Dwen Dwen looks like a giant panda wearing an ice coat. Ice represents purity and perseverance while the panda symbolizes honesty, health, and loveliness. Bing Dwen Dwen also resembles an astronaut, which is a nod to our astronauts’ selfless devotion and their exploration of the future.

The image of Shuey Rhon Rhon is a combination of snow and a lantern in the color of Chinese red. Not only does it imply tolerance, integration, harvest, warmth and light, but it also represents friendship, courage and strength, reflecting the fighting spirit of the Winter Paralympic athletes.
