Last month I did something good and I felt proud of myself. This is how it happened.
I have been saving up since I was a child. Every time when my family or relatives gave me red envelopes, I put the money in my piggy bank. Up to last month I had as much as 10,000 yuan. I was excited because finally I had enough money for my favourite singer’s concert. My dream was coming true.
The day before they began to sell tickets, I saw my father sitting in front of his old computer. He was looking at a web page with pictures of expensive new computers. I knew the computer that my dad had was almost ten years old. He must have wanted a new one. I would be happier to see my dad with the computer he wanted than to see the concert myself. I thought for a while and I asked my uncle to buy the computer with my savings.
When I gave the computer to my father, he said this was the best surprise he had ever had. My family praised me for what I did. I am proud that I put my family before myself.
